During two of these films, the Junkanoo Celebration, which is a magnificent, traditional display of culture with music, rhythmic dance and colorful costumes, was featured in several scenes.

The region was also said to be once the haunt of legendary pirate, Blackbeard, due to its sheltered harbor that offered a safe haven for his vessel.

Today, stunning Victorian mansions, cathedrals and ancient forts offer any Nassau wedding couple wishing to marry numerous locations and many attractions to then visit while honeymooning. The most spectacular architectural find is said to be the Queen’s Staircase whose 66 steps lead to a simply breathtaking view that you nor your loved one cannot afford to miss. The islands were renamed the United States Virgin Islands. By 1936, the islands were able to govern themselves under the ‘Organic Act.’

Proclaimed as the most romantic place on earth, weddings in Cancun, Mexico provide an intimate backdrop of lush palm trees, turquoise water and silky, white sand to make your wedding SEVENTH HEAVEN.

This region of Mexico is often considered to be fast-paced with traditional Mexican bands and Latin rock and roll music filtering through the night air, allowing everyone at your Cancun wedding to dance under the stars and personify true love.

Cozumel, Mexico (Top)

A natural beauty that exhibits clean, clear waters, reefs, and wildlife that represent a spectacular kaleidoscope of color as well as magnificent Mayan culture and archeological delights, Cozumel differs from Cancun and Cabo San Lucas in that it was not a planned tourist destination but one that naturally came about.

As an island off the Mexican coast, this national treasure boasts a sparkling blue ocean and a unique heritage that has deep cultural roots even today, making Cozumel weddings truly unique. Often, as a visitor of the island, you will bare witness to traditional carnivals and be able to participate in local customs and rituals, which will sweep any couple off their feet.

Cozumel was a sleepy fishing village until 1961 when Jacques Cousteau, a now famous marine biologist, introduced the region’s unsurpassed beauty to the world. Since this discovery, the region has become a protected underwater marine park in order to preserve its delicate coral reefs and the stunning diversity of tropical fish.

The island is the oldest and the largest in the Mexican Republic. It boasts a subtropical climate that provides the perfect environment for a romantic interlude. Therefore, whether you wish to have an extravagant destination wedding or an intimate affair, a Cozumel wedding will cater to your desires and fulfill your dreams.
