In order to get legally married in Jamaica, US and Canadian citizens will need to adhere to certain requirements. This includes arriving 24 hours before the ceremony can be performed and submitting the necessary paperwork (birth certificates, passports, occupations, divorce or death decrees) at least two weeks in advance. Relevant fees will also be collected by the Registrar General's Department.
Majority of our couples opt to have a symbolic wedding ceremony in Jamaica, and legalize the marriage in their home country either before or after the trip.
Our Certified Destination Wedding Specialists can help you navigate your options and choose which ceremony type is best for you.
