The Love Story
Yvonne and Abe first noticed each other while attending the same high school in their hometown of El Paso, Texas. Yvonee was a cheerleader and Abe was on the basketball team and they both shared many mutual friends, but never officially had an introduction until the inevitable creation of Facebook. While attending their separate colleges, Yvonne and Abe reconnected on social media and had their first official date while both visiting our hometown in October, 2009.
The Planning Experience
Yvonee always knew a destination wedding would be a part of their wedding plans. They wanted something small and intimate, and a destination wedding was a perfect way to gather their small group of friends and family. With the help of their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, they were able to narrow down their choice to a resort that was adult's only and had plenty of on-site activity to keep everyone entertained.
The Celebration
They personalized their wedding by bringing their own decorations, designing wedding menus, place card holders, and topping the cake off with a beautiful acrylic monogram block. To top off their celebration in paradise, all of their guests jumped into the infinity pool at the end of the night! Their favorite part of the trip was simply relaxing poolside with their loved ones and enjoying the resort's amenities.
The Memories
One of the moments that these two newlyweds will remember forever is the special past memories that were shared of Yvonee and Abe during their loved ones speeches. To sum up their destination wedding, they describe it as "impressive, breathtaking, and memorable."
Advice For Future Couples
Yvonne and Abe's advice is to choose a resort that you and your fiancé are absolutely in love with and accommodates your needs. Everything else will fall in place.
