The Love Story
Tara and Michael's love story begins in Cleveland, Ohio, where the two met through Tara's best friend, who also happened to be Michael's cousin. Michael was living with Tara's best friend for a bit and it didn't take long for Michael to ask Tara out on their first date. After many laughs over a bottle (or two) or wine at a delicious Italian restaurant, the two fell in love and the rest was history!
The Planning Experience
Both the bride and groom have always been up for an adventure and love to travel, but a destination wedding seemed too good to be true, according to Tara. Well, with the help of their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Chrissy Janvier, they were able to make their vision come to life, exactly as they imagined it. When asked how they came to the decision of getting married in Cabo San Lucas, Tara says it was always on their bucket list. "Beach meets mountains meets low humidity…need I say more?!"
The Celebration
When it came to their special celebration, they were so glad they chose Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. The resort allowed for so many opportunities for personalization. Everything from our boho-tropical florals, officiant, centerpieces, lighting, music choices and more - it was all personally chosen by the happy couple. Tara and Michael hosted their rehearsal dinner on a boat the night before the wedding, where they took in incredible views, including the Arch of Cabo San Lucas ("El Arco"), indulged in delicious food and drinks, and danced the night away!
The Memories
According to Tara, the most memorable moment of their destination wedding experience was when they exchanged their own vows in front of their favorite people - this was something they'll cherish forever and never forget.
Advice For Future Couples
As for their biggest piece of advice to future couples planning a destination wedding? Tara says to either delegate or finish all the last minute to do's before getting to your destination. And most importantly, "soak up every minute of the time you have with your favorite people in paradise!"
