The Love Story
After cracking a few jokes and sharing some laughs, Tara and James fell in love almost instantly and officially tied the knot back in 1998. Fast forward 24 years, James got back down on one knee and popped the question…again!
The Planning Experience
They knew exchanging their vows for the second time in front of their family and friends would be the perfect way to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They couldn't have picked a more beautiful place to say their I dos again than in Negril, Jamaica, which also happened to be where they originally honeymooned! Right away, they chose Royalton Negril Resort & Spa because they wanted to go "the all inclusive route and travel to a beautiful location."
The Celebration
Before exchanging vows, they enjoyed water activities like snorkeling, parasailing, and even hand-holding cliff jumps at Rick's Cafe! To enhance their special day, stunning decor, cherished photos, candles, and silver mats filled the venue, along with loved ones, both present and virtual. However, there was a small hiccup before their big day even began, and rain poured over Jamaica, the only day it had rained all week. But a little rain didn't stop them and after it cleared, the most breathtaking sunset broke out over the clouds giving them a backdrop that "wowed everyone!".
The Memories
Their big day was filled with sentimental moments that made guests watch in awe, especially during the reception when their son gave a touching speech in honor of his stepdad, James, where he referred to James as Dad! There wasn't a dry eye on the patio! To sum up their weeklong celebration in pure paradise, they describe it as "blessed, fairy-tale, and convenient." Tara and James plan on returning back to Negril, Jamaica for more adventures in the future and said "this destination has become a go-to and has sentimental value."
