The Love Story
Summer and Emil met like true modern-day romantics, matching on a dating app while they were in college in the Dallas area back in 2018. Their first date was a pancake breakfast on the very first day of Summer's spring break, though she had a backup plan to head to Austin if the date didn't go well. Spoiler alert: Summer thought he was perfect, and from that first date on, they just kept gravitating toward each other. Seven years later, they tied the knot at Breathless Riviera Cancun, but not before the dreamiest proposal. Emil got down on one knee in front of an entire tour group at the Roman ruins and popped the question.
The Planning Experience
A destination wedding wasn't always part of their plan, but after exploring their local options, the idea started to take shape. With a bit of research, they quickly discovered that many websites recommended destination weddings, especially after seeing how much more affordable they could be compared to getting married in their hometown.
The Celebration
Their base wedding package included all the necessities, but they added a few upgrades to make their wedding day even more magical. From drapery on the ceremony gazebo and sparkling lights to bamboo chairs and extra-lush florals, everything came together so beautifully. Plus, they added extra sound system hours and upgraded photography to keep the party going and capture all of their special moments. One of the moments that Summer will never forget is turning the corner and seeing all her guests, the stunning ceremony and Emil waiting for her.
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as "fantastic, relaxing and memorable." Besides the wedding day, they loved being able to spend quality time with all of their closest friends and family. From the karaoke nights to taking a snorkeling and speed boat excursion, they enjoyed every second with their loved ones.

Summer and Emil's advice for couples having a destination wedding?
"DO IT! We had the best time. I'm a crazy organizer/planner and bugged Tracy with a million questions, and she was PERFECT. It will be some of my favorite memories, and I think that applies to our guests as well."
