The Love Story

The story of how Stacey & Scott met is relatively simple - they locked eyes at the gym! Both of them would wake up at 4:30 in the morning to go workout and after months of seeing each other and saying nothing, Scott finally approached his future bride-to-be with the line, "You're killin' your shoulder workout today!" Scott eventually asked Stacey out and they went on their first official date to a comedy show.

The Planning Experience

We can thank Stacey's mom for her decision on having a destination wedding. Stacey states that ever since she was younger, her mother always advocated for having a destination wedding, so when it came to planning her big day, it was a no-brainer! With the help and trust of her Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Brenda, they were able to have their magical day in Mexico!

The Celebration

When choosing their decor for their big day in paradise, they went with "pure glamor." It showcased elegance, beauty, and the finer elements that you would see in a hometown wedding. Another special moment is having her guest list participate in taking polaroid images of themselves to add to the guestbook, along with will wishes for their romantic love story. Another big highlight from their destination wedding celebration was seeing all their loved ones they don't see often, while still relaxing and lounging by the pool.

The Memories

The most memorable moment for the happy couple was how accommodating and helpful the staff at El Dorado Maroma staff was when planning their pre-wedding festivities. Stacey and Scott made some last minute changes to their 20 person rehearsal dinner and the staff handled all the changes seamlessly. Stacey states "they were truly incredible!" For their one year anniversary, they plan on traveling to Tahitit, since they weren't able to have their destination wedding there!

Advice For Future Couples

Their biggest piece of advice to future couples planning a destination wedding would be to enjoy the process. Make short lists of things you want to accomplish or decisions you need to make. Just remember you both of you are a team, and in an instant the whole planning process will be over. Enjoy the process, it's a journey!
