The Love Story

We can thank an exciting event and a few mutual friends for Simone and Rob's love story! After meeting at Rob's apartment for a pre-party, Simone and Rob spent the entire night chatting and eventually went on their first date.

The Planning Experience

These travel enthusiasts viewed a couple of local vendors, but knew deep down that they wanted a destination wedding, and after seeing what it could offer, they were all in! When it came to planning their special day, they both agreed they wanted a location that represented the both of them. Since Rob speaks fluent Spanish, and Simone's family is from Jamaica, their goal was to choose a Spanish-speaking Caribbean destination. Their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist led them to having their dream celebration at Hard Rock Riviera Maya!

The Celebration

Their celebration had plenty of personalized touches that made their wedding day extremely unique. From their welcome giftbags, LOVE letter decor, to fireworking lighting up the night sky during their first dance, everything came together beautifully for their big day. One of the funniest moments during their time in paradise was when their best man dropped Simone's wedding ring in the sand. Once it was recovered, Simone called out "you had one job man!!" The day after they said their I dos, Simone and Rob invited their wedding guests on a group excursion to the Mayan Ruins in Tulum.

The Memories

What made Simone and Rob's wedding extra memorable was hearing the song "We are Family" play over the speakers during the reception and seeing their newly blended family come together and celebrate such a joyous occasion. To sum up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as the "best weekend ever." For their one year anniversary, they plan on visiting another beautiful Spanish speaking Caribbean destination.

Advice For Future Couples

Their biggest piece of advice for future couples is to find a good destination wedding event planner/coordinator and know exactly what you want.
