The Love Story
After being introduced by a mutual friend and speaking on the phone for 4 hours, Corey started to fall in love with Shondra. They met again in person a week later and they have been together ever since.
The Planning Experience
Corey was open to whatever Shondra wanted to do for their special day, and since she loved the beach having a destination wedding seemed like the perfect choice. With their budget, they narrowed down their dream destination to Jamaica or Mexico. Since they both have never been to Cancun, they decided to try something new and say their I dos at Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa.
The Celebration
Shondra wanted to make her celebration as heartfelt as possible, starting with Corey's ring. Corey's mother passed away 12 years ago and he still had most of his mother's jewelry locked away in a safe. She knew how close he was with his mother and how important she will always be to him, so she took Corey's mom's to the jeweler to have a custom ring made for him. To kick off their romantic celebration, they had a relaxing couples massage which was an excellent way to prepare for their big day!
The Memories
Something Shondra and Corey will never forget is the blessing that Shondra's mother prayer over them during their stunning wedding ceremony. It was such a special moment to the both of them. To describe their destination wedding experience, they recall it being "family, love, and relaxation." They plan on going to Hawaii for their one year anniversary, but they loved Royalton Riviera Cancun so much that they definitely want to come back.
Advice For Future Couples
Shondra and Corey's biggest piece of advice would be to not stress and enjoy each other.
