The Love Story
Shay and Jake were destined to be together from the start! Their families were very close growing up and soon they developed a friendship that soon blossomed into true love.
The Planning Experience
Since they travel to the Caribbean every fall, having their wedding in Punta Cana would hold such sentimental value to them. It was also a plus that they wanted a vacation with all their loved ones. After much research and reading the great reviews, they decided to tie the knot at Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa.
The Celebration
Their celebration had plenty of personal touches from writing their own vows, taking "unity shots", and even having a locket of Shay's poppy on her bouquet. The groomsmens also came out in style with a superhero theme, which was a nice touch to their special day. The funniest moment during the reception was when Jake pulled out his best moves during the garter dance. He recreated the dance from Magic Mike, which had the whole venue giggling.
The Memories
Jake's best man, who was stationed overseas in Japan, made a guest appearance and read a heartfelt speech over video. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! They loved every second of their celebration in paradise and described it as "unforgettable, a dream, and an adventure." Needless to say, it was even better than they envisioned it.
