The Love Story
From highschool sweethearts to forever! Rosalyn and Stephen met in highschool and started dating in their senior year. They have been inseparable ever since!
The Planning Experience
Since Rosalyn and Stephen are both beach lovers and wanted a vacation with all of their friends and family, they decided that having a destination wedding would be the perfect way to celebrate their love. Considering they have been together for so long, they felt their love deserved more than just a few hours on a Saturday night. Iberostar Rose Hall Suites holds many heartfelt memories for the happy couple, since Stephen got down on one knee and proposed last time they vacationed there. After enjoying the beautiful sights, weather and mouth-watering food, they both decided they would come back and get married there.
The Celebration
Both Rosalyn and Stephen stole the show when they walked down the aisle! Rosalyn chose the song "Flaws and All" by Beyonce to meet Stephen, while Stephen and his best man showed off their best dance moves down the aisle to "This is Why I'm Hot" by MIMS. To personalize their wedding day, they incorporated their love for sneakers by wearing the same Air Jordans in different colors. Along with matching shoes, they added a bride and groom cake topper with Batmasks on. Rosalyn and Stephen both agree that the best part of the whole celebration was watching everyone come together at night to party the night away!
The Memories
Rosalyn recalls that walking down the aisle with her dad was such a special moment for her during their big day. I couldn't believe that we were on the same beach we were on two years prior when Stephen proposed," Rosalyn states. To sum up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as a dream come true. For their one year anniversary, they plan on going anywhere with a beach and even better food!
Advice For Future Couples
Their biggest piece of advice to couples is don't be afraid to ask for what you want - no matter how wild you think it sounds. You only get to do this once, so might as well have it be everything you dreamed of!
