The Love Story
Love is sky high for Rachel and Anthony! What started in 2016 as two air traffic controllers training side by side turned into a strong friendship, then something more once the timing was finally right. After 2 years of dating, they took a magical trip to Iceland where Anthony proposed until the northern lights.
The Planning Experience
Having a destination wedding was always their first choice since they love to travel. It made so much more sense to spend a few days celebrating their love with their favorite people at a more affordable price. Their wedding planning began, and they went with their first choice, Excellence Punta Cana. The excellent reviews and great value sealed the deal, especially after staying at its sister property, Finest, a few years earlier.
The Celebration
Deciding on decor was a breeze for the lovebirds, thanks to Excellence's wide selection of florals and stunning decorations. They found the perfect flowers and draping for both their ceremony and reception—it was exactly how they had pictured it! The decor quickly became one of the highlights of the entire celebration. Walking down the aisle and seeing everything come together, surrounded by the beautiful florals, was pure magic. In the months leading up to their ceremony, they even found a musician who could record songs from their favorite anime shows and games to make their day extra special.
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding experience they describe it as "fun, beautiful, and special." Besides the wedding day itself, their favorite part was being able to have quality time with all of their friends and family that they don't get to see often. The day after their wedding, they even booked an exciting catamaran trip for everyone to enjoy.
Advice For Future Couples
Rachel & Anthony's advice for having a destination wedding?
Lean on your specialist! They have experience and you can trust them. Plan for half or less of your invite list to be able to attend. If there are people that you really want to be present but can't afford to go then try to budget for their part in your total cost. It's always worth having your nearest and dearest on such an important day.
