The Love Story
Nicole and Sean's love story feels like a scene out of a romcom, where they meet during childhood and fate brings them back together years later. Nicole met Sean when they were just seven and eight years old, while he was playing baseball with her younger brother, but never interacted with one another. Years later, they kept bumping into each other, and Nicole decided to reach out to Sean. Fast forward to now, they are inseparable and happily in love!
The Planning Experience
Traveling to new destinations together was a very big part of Nicole and Sean's relationship and after getting engaged in Jupiter, FL, they knew they didn't want to waste any time getting married. They envisioned something small, intimate, and wanted their planning experience to be as stress-free as possible. With the help of their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Andrea Coots, and their own research, they fell in love with Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. "Growing up I never imagined my wedding this way, but now that it's done we wouldn't change a thing," recalls Nicole.
The Celebration
Nicole and Sean did not hesitate to add their own personal touches to their special day and created a playlist of their favorite tunes to play over the sound system. Their stunning wedding package included a lot of the essentials, but they couldn't resist curating the perfect bouquet/boutonnières, dinner menu, cake, and gazebo décor. One of their favorite moments was sharing their vows in front of their friends and family, and being able to have a wedding so stress-free, they took a two hour nap before they said their I dos!
The Memories
Nicole and Sean's wedding was everything they could have imagined and they describe it as "beautiful, elegant, and relaxing." They loved being able to enjoy every moment and relax at the resort, along with experiencing the excellent customer service, endless activities, and the delicious food options.
Advice For Future Couples
Nicole and Sean's biggest piece of advice for couples is to choose everything based on what you want. We love our friends and family, but they didn't have a lot of say in what we chose to do. It's hard to make decisions when you have a lot of outside influence trying to give their opinions, but we made our plans as a couple and everyone who attended loved every bit of it!
