The Love Story
During their internships and apprenticeships, Natalia and Mitchell swiped through dating apps and matched! They quickly exchanged numbers, connected over shared interests, and soon found themselves on their first date. Though Natalia questioned Mitchell's cut-off shirt choice, she started to fall for him and their conversations. Their first date went so well, they saw each other three more times that same week, and their connection grew into something magical. A year and a half later, Mitchell got down on one knee and proposed!
The Planning Experience
Before Natalia and Mitchel crossed paths, she had always dreamed of a destination wedding. Coincidentally, Mitchell had recently attended a friend's destination wedding and quickly became on board with the idea. With their families living in different states, they realized a destination wedding would be the perfect neutral ground for both sides to come together. Their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Maggie Elles, got to work finding the ideal venue for these lovebirds. They fell in love with Hard Rock Riviera Maya for its ability to accommodate a large guest list at no extra cost, its family-friendly and adults-only sections, and its dreamy, intimate setting for their special day.
The Celebration
They brought a few special items from home for their celebration, but their outdoor venue's gorgeous decor meant they barely needed to add anything! With their package and credits, they upgraded to a bigger DJ package, making the night even more lively and fun for everyone. They'll never forget when the DJ called them up by the pool, kicking off an epic dance battle between the Bride Tribe and the Groom's Crew!
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding in paradise, they described it as "unforgettable, blissful, and harmonious." One of their favorite memories was enjoying fun on-site activities with their guests, with the crowd favorite being time spent by the DIVE pool. They also got to experience the escape room and savor the delicious food at Hard Rock, while Mitchell enjoyed some time on the golf course. To finish off their celebration, they were pampered with a couples massage, which became one of their highlights in Mexico!
Advice For Future Couples
Natalia and Mitchell's advice to couples planning a destination wedding is that everyone that is meant to be at your wedding will be at your wedding! There is only 1 person who needs to be there (husband/wife) and whoever else decides to be there is just additional love & support. We don't know everyone's financial situation, however, people will make time and sacrifices for important things. 1x coffee = $5,5x a week for a month =$100. It all depends on what sacrifices they are willing to make.
