Michelle and Erskin met in front of a TGI Friday's and have been inseparable ever since! Their love for travel, going on food adventures and God has given them an irreplaceable bond for many years. Erskin got down on one knee and popped the question during their romantic getaway to Dubai and they can now explore the world together as one!
The Planning Experience
Choosing Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for their dream wedding was an easy decision. When Michelle and Erskin took a trip to Punta Cana, Erskin instantly fell in love with the destination. Considering Michelle's ethnicity, family, and ancestral connection to the Dominican Republic, they knew in an instant that this was the place where they needed to get married. They went on various resort tours to finalize their dream venue, and Sunscape Bavaro Resort Punta Cana embodied everything in their vision.
The Celebration
As soon as Michelle's dad gave her away to Erskin, he accidentally forgot to remove her veil. At that moment, Michelle decided to take matters into her own hands and removed the veil herself. It was a hilarious moment they still sometimes laugh about. When it came to their wedding decor, they kept things classy, but stylish. Their table centerpieces were simple, and Michelle had her bridesmaids dress in stunning rose gold dresses. One of their favorite moments from the trip was enjoying the boat excursion with their 20 guests. It was Michelle's sister and her close friend's birthday, so they celebrated with cake, dancing, and scuba diving!
The Memories
Michelle and Erskin created countless cherished memories during their time in paradise, but nothing quite beats their guests holding up sparklers as they walked through the crowd to their favorite song.
