The Love Story

Manuela and Andres' love story begins when they were just teenagers. After 10 years of pure bliss and love, they tied the knot on their 10th anniversary at Renaissance Wind Creek, surrounded by their closest loved ones.

The Planning Experience

These beach enthusiasts knew they wanted their dreamy wedding to be somewhere that had stunning beaches and in a tropical setting. They explored plenty of different options, but finally decided on Aruba, and they were so happy they did! Manuela and Andres had been to Aruba before and fell in love with the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Since none of their family members had been to Aruba, they knew it was the perfect place for their celebration. "Choosing to get married in Aruba at the Renaissance was the best decision we made," recalls Manuela. The one thing that really sold them was the opportunity to exchange their vows on a private island surrounded by flamingos!

The Celebration

With the help of the on-site wedding coordinator, all of their customized wedding decor was brought to life. From the beautiful welcome arch with their names to the custom fans, every detail added a personalized touch to their big day. To make their wedding day even more special, they had the officiant conduct the ceremony in both English and Spanish to honor their Colombian heritage. One of their most memorable moments was closing down the private island for a night of mingling, drinking, and dancing with all of their guests, and we can't forget about the stunning views and flamingos!

The Memories

Manuela and Andres sum up their destination wedding celebration by describing it as "magical, perfect, and the best day of their lives! From flamingos to exchanging vows on a private island, their wedding in paradise was picture-perfect. Before their magical day, they had the chance to throw a welcome party for all of their guests and spent the weekend exploring all of Aruba. They enjoyed every moment of their time together and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Advice For Future Couples

Manuela and Andres' advise couples planning their celebration to have a to-do wedding checklist and research your wedding planner! Planning a destination wedding is a lot and it can get extremely overwhelming. There are a million and one details that go into it. My advice would be to stay calm and do things one at a time. My second piece of advice would be to make sure you and your wedding planner are on the same page. Making sure your wedding comes out perfect has everything to do with the person who is helping you plan it. It is absolutely crucial that your planner is detail-oriented, listens to your requests, and is there to guide you every step of the way.
