The Love Story
Lexie and James go way back—well, sort of! They grew up in the same town and attended the same high school, but somehow, their paths never crossed until fate (and a mutual friend's house) brought them together in the spring of 2015. From the beginning, they clicked as friends, but life took them to different colleges, so they were only able to spend time together on holiday breaks. Over the years, their feelings started to grow more and more, but distance was always in the way. Fast forward to 2020, they found themselves back in the Dallas area at the same time and decided to give their relationship a shot. It's safe to say it all worked out!
The Planning Experience
Lexie and James knew from the beginning that a destination wedding was in their plans. "I wanted to have something unique and celebrate a vacation with everyone," they recall. When choosing the ideal location, Cancun was calling their names! It was an easy destination for all their guests to travel to, and once they saw Dreams Vista Cancun, they knew it was the perfect place to say I do.
The Celebration
To make their wedding feel even more special, they customized their experience with extra add-ons and upgraded their wedding package. Every detail came together beautifully, and they got to soak it all in during their private last dance. It was the perfect finishing touch to an already dreamy day, making their wedding even more unforgettable.
The Memories
Lexie and James describe their destination wedding as an "experience of a lifetime." Beyond their unique details and private last dance, one of their favorite memories was spending quality time with their friends and family. They even planned a boat day with their entire bridal party after the wedding! "These are memories I will have forever," Lexie says.
Advice For Future Couples
Lexie and James biggest piece of advice is to enjoy the moment and take it slow. I know it's cliche but it goes by so fast. Enjoy every moment, even when you're stressed, and
when you think it's not worth it. These are memories you will have for the rest of your life, and you only do it once. Soak it all up!
