The Love Story
A swipe right on Coffee Meets Bagel brought these two love birds together! Sparks flew the instant that Kenisha and Chris met, and their bond only grew when they realized they had so much in common. From the love of their Jamaican culture to outdoor activities, their connection just flowed so effortlessly. One year later, Kenisha got offered an incredible job out of state, and 5 months later, Chris joined her. They both knew deep down they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. On May 24th, 2024, with the help of Kenisha's best friend, Chris got down on one knee at the Stone Tower Winery in VA. They cheered her saying yes with champagne and took gorgeous pictures to capture their special day.
The Planning Experience
Since Kenisha and Chris are both originally from Jamaica, they knew celebrating their love on the beaches of Jamaica would be the perfect choice. When they laid eyes on the gorgeous Secrets Wild Orchid, it felt like the right place to say their I dos. It was conveniently located close to the airport and it was able to accommodate all of their guests. Plus, they knew someone who had an amazing wedding experience there, which made the decision even easier.
The Celebration
To make their wedding one-of-a-kind, they did bring some special items from home, including light pink table runners, light pink bows for the chairs, personalized photos in frames, Jamaican wedding favors and more. They transformed their reception space by adding a dance floor and bringing in a DJ for a three-hour set filled with our personalized playlist. Kenisha will never forget the way Chris looked at her when she finally walked down the aisle, it was a memory they will cherish forever.
The Memories
Kenisha and Chris describe their destination wedding as, "breathtaking, joyous, unforgettable." Besides the wedding ceremony itself, they had a blast on the Catamaran cruise, where they snorkeled, drank rum punch and visited Margaretville in Montego Bay. They plan on reliving their special day on their first-year anniversary back where it all began, at Secrets Wild Orchid!
