The Love Story

Kathleen & Jonathan met at a local bar at a mutual friend's birthday party. Kathleen remembers thinking just how handsome Jonathan was when he walked in! Jonathan's college buddy/fraternity brother who introduced these two lovebirds and they chatted all night. After meeting for the first time, they exchanged numbers, but nothing really came of it, until they saw each other again at a concert. Little did they know, their mutual friend Jason, set it up so they could see each other. Since that concert, they have been inseparable and thank their friend big time for their love!

The Planning Experience

Kathleen & Jonathan have always thought a destination wedding would be something they would be interested in, but it wasn't until they were bogged down in the stresses of planning this huge, extravagant wedding that it became a serious discussion. After Kathleen was on the verge of tears trying to plan, Jonathan looked at her and said "Is this really worth the stress on you?  Let's just elope to an island." So that's exactly what they did! When deciding on their dream resort, they both wanted to go somewhere neither of them had been to and once they saw  pictures of Sandals Grande Antigua and their stunning beaches, they were sold!

The Celebration

Kathleen and Jonathan wanted to keep things simple, so they  just chose from one of the themes offered and threw in their own personal touches to make it special. Jon had recently lost his grandmother so Kathleen framed locket-sized pictures of both her grandparents and his grandmother to tie around her bouquet, so that our family in Heaven could be there with us on our special day. One of their favorite moments was taking a catamaran cruise around the island. The tour lasted all day and they got to enjoy snorkeling, a delicious lunch, and lounging on the beach.

The Memories

The most memorable moment for Kathleen was walking up to Jon and seeing the pure love and joy in his eyes.  His eyes never left hers and his smile lit up his whole face.  When she finally stood beside him he just stared at Kathleen and told her that she was the most beautiful bride in the world! They sum up their destination wedding experience by describing it as "stress-free, fun, and perfect!" They would love to come back to Antigua for their one year anniversary, but they might cross off Bora Bora from their bucket list.

Advice For Future Couples

Kathleen & Jonathan's advice for couples is to relax, let go, and enjoy every moment.  You can get so hung up on details and trying to make everything perfect and you can forget the real reason you're there.  Enjoy each other and soak it up, because when you look back on your special day you won't care about whether the table setting was just right or what went wrong; your memories will be filled with the smiles, laughter, joy and unforgettable love you two shared that day!
