The Love Story
Jen and Josh's love story started with a bold move and a little curiosity. Josh slid into a friend's messages just to ask about Jen, and soon enough, they found themselves on a blind date in Folsom. Between axe throwing and an instant connection, something special began to blossom. For Josh's birthday, Jen planned a celebration in Napa, but Josh had a surprise of his own. When they walked into a beautifully decorated restaurant, Jen realized this was not just a birthday dinner, but the moment Josh got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. Since then, they have blended their families, welcomed a beautiful baby boy, and have been unstoppable ever since.
The Planning Experience
With their big blended family and a desire for a full wedding experience, Jen and Josh chose a destination wedding, something that was not originally in their plans but quickly became the perfect fit. It gave them the chance to truly slow down and spend meaningful time with their closest friends and family. They went back and forth on locations, but the moment they discovered Dreams Flora, everything clicked. The family friendly atmosphere and incredible amenities made it an easy yes and the perfect place to say I do.
The Celebration
Their big day was personalized to perfection, from stunning décor brought in from home to even flying out their own DJ to make the celebration feel uniquely theirs. Every detail came to life so beautifully and reflected exactly what Jen and Josh had envisioned for their wedding day. As they sat at the sweetheart table, looking out at all of their guests celebrating their love, they took in just how surreal and meaningful it was to see so many of their loved ones travel all the way to Punta Cana to be part of their day.
The Memories
To summarize their destination wedding, they describe it as "unforgettable, enchanting, and perfection." Beyond the wedding itself, one of their favorite moments was going on a boat and snorkeling adventure with all of their guests. It was such a meaningful way to create even more memories with their loved ones in a place as beautiful as Punta Cana.
Advice For Future Couples
Jen & Josh's biggest piece of advice for having a destination wedding?
Don't be afraid to make it your own. Focus on what matters most to you and create the experience you truly want, even if it means going outside of the standard packages. It's your day, make it unforgettable.
