The Love Story
Iris and Alex were secretly each other's gym crushes without knowing it! Fast forward a few years, they reconnected and have been taking adventurous trips together ever since. Their love for each other kept growing stronger, and on Christmas Eve, Alex got down on one knee and asked Iris to spend forever with him.
The Planning Experience
Excited about their future together, they planned a two-year engagement and envisioned a dreamy destination wedding. However, their plans took a turn when they discovered they were expecting a beautiful baby boy. With an additional year of planning, they discussed the most ideal location to say their vows, and decided on Mexico, a place they both felt the most calm and happy. Finding the perfect venue was a bit challenging, but everything fell into place when they discovered the breathtaking beach views at Sandos Cancun.
The Celebration
Iris and Alex instantly felt all the love and support from their loved ones as soon as they arrived on their first day. "We were so lucky to have our closest family and friends celebrate with us in such a beautiful way," recalls Iris. One of their favorite parts of their time in paradise was being able to soak it all in and relax. Closest loved ones, the enchanting backdrop of Mexico, and pure relaxation - what more could you ask for during your celebration?"
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding in Cancun, they describe it as "dreamy, fairytale, and adventurous." While they loved their time in Mexico, they would love to travel to Thailand for their one year anniversary. It has been on their travel bucket list since they first started their love story!
Advice For Future Couples
Iris and Alex advise couples to RESEARCH! Everyone's experiences, vision, and budget is different, so research where you would like it to be. Find a resort/venue in your budget, check the capacity of guests at the venue before sending out invites/RSVPS. If it's a resort, be sure you research the upgraded prices beforehand, along with how much it will cost guests.
