The Love Story

In October 2010, Travis and Grace crossed paths at a local sports bar in Anchorage through a mutual friend. They had an eventful evening of laughing, dancing, and cheering to their new friendships. They enjoyed each other's company, so we exchanged numbers. Later that week they saw each other again and haven't stopped spending time together since!

The Planning Experience

Since Grace was a young girl, it was always her dream to get married on the white sandy beaches of the Bahamas. A friend referred them to DestinationWeddings.com and everything just clicked from there! After reviewing a couple of options on Paradise Island, their Certified Destination Wedding Specialists informed them about this all-inclusive hotel. They never stayed at an all-inclusive before, so we were a little hesitant, but the place turned out to be perfect for us and their guests. No one had to leave if we didn't want to because the resort had everything on site.

The Celebration

To honor Grace's grandmother, they chose to celebrate their special day on her birthday. Due to her medical condition, she was unable to attend, but she was there in spirit! Their vision for the wedding was to reflect the essence of her elegant, classy, bright and traditional nature. One of the highlights of their days in paradise was spending time with their loved ones and enjoying all the excursions. Some activities they all enjoyed were, a  full day excursion to Sandy Toes Beach located on Rose Island, the Atlantis water park, Stuart Cove's diving and shark adventures, snorkeling, jet-skiing, shopping at local markets and experiencing local food.

The Memories

Grace remembers the pure love and bliss she felt during the ceremony when she saw Travis greeting Grace's dad as she walked down the aisle. Grace's dad had tears in his eyes with a bright smile, as he gave Grace away. For their one year anniversary, they plan on traveling to Australia again, but this time as husband and wife!

Advice For Future Couples

Grace and Travis' biggest piece of advice to remember is that it's your moment in time. Relax, enjoy, and let your Certified Destination Wedding Specialist handle the rest!
