The Love Story
We have fate and Hinge to thank for Desiree and Ronald's love story! They first crossed paths in 2010 while they were in college but never spoke to each other. Fast forward to 2022, they reconnected on Hinge and have been inseparable ever since. After nine amazing months of dating, Ron got down on one knee and proposed in front of their closest family and friends!
The Planning Experience
From the beginning, Desiree and Ronald knew they wanted a destination wedding because of how affordable and intimate it could be. Their goal was to have everyone in vacation mode during the celebration, and saying their I dos in Punta Cana made their wish come true. They fell in love with Dreams Flora Punta Cana for their dream venue due to its affordability and, most importantly, how beautiful it was. Desiree had been to Punta Cana before and knew it would be the perfect location to exchange their vows.
The Celebration
Their wedding package included everything they needed for their big day, so they kept things simple yet beautiful. They upgraded to a DJ and MC to keep the party going and treated their guests to a premium top-shelf bar. The moment Desiree and Ronald locked eyes as she walked down the aisle is something they will never forget. It felt like they were the only two people on the planet. "I wish I could redo the entire day all over," recalls Desiree.
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding in paradise, they describe it as "convenient, beautiful and memorable." After exchanging their vows, they continued the celebration with a fun-filled party boat day, enjoying dancing and snorkeling with all their guests.
Advice For Future Couples
Desiree & Ronald's biggest piece of advance for having a destination wedding?
"Breathe. Don't stress the small things and know that in the end it will all come together and be amazing."
