The Love Story
Catherine and Zach met working in a surgical/trauma ICU. They later reconnected through the dating app Bumble where Zach asked Catherine on a date. The rest was history! They went to Paris together where Zach popped the question and asked Catherine to marry him while they were standing on top of Sacré-Coeur.
The Planning Experience
They always knew they wanted a small wedding, but since they both have huge families they knew having a destination wedding was the best way to make it small without offending a lot of people at home. Their love for travel also played a big factor in choosing to have a destination wedding! When it came to choosing their destination, their Certified Destination Wedding Specialists, Allison, helped them narrow it down to UNICO 20˚87˚ because of their love for culture, beaches, amenities and the food.
The Celebration
When it came to customizing their big day, they brought their own pastor. For their decor, they arrange how they wanted the gazebo to look and the type of chairs for their guests, along with song selection for their violinist. From the decor to the dance floor, they loved having the option to choose all their add-ons, especially with the help of the on-site coordinator. They especially loved their rehearsal dinner, which included a wine and dinner sunset cruise that was set up through the resort! It was such an enjoyable moment for them and their loved ones.
The Memories
Their favorite memory had to be their first choreographed dance to the song Paris in the Rain by Lauv. They danced the night away under the twinkling string lights during their reception and loved every second of it. To sum up their destination wedding experience they described it as "unforgettable, extravagant, and easy." For their one year anniversary, they're hoping to return to UNICO 20˚87˚ to experience their time in paradise all over again, plus their discounted spa treatments won them over!
