Before Brittany and Shaun fell in love, their mutual friends had attempted to set them up, but fate had other plans. A month later, while sitting at a restaurant with the same friends, Shaun and Brittany crossed paths and spent hours talking that night. The rest is history!
The Planning Experience
Planning their dream wedding in paradise wasn't always smooth sailing for Brittany and Shaun. Unfortunately, many of their envisioned plans were ruined due to the devastating fire that hit their hometown of Lahaina, Hawaii. Despite the challenges, they refused to let it keep them from having the most magical day and decided to elope in their honeymoon destination, Italy!
The Celebration
Their wedding day was everything they could have ever hoped for as they exchanged their vows overlooking the Amalfi Coast, creating the most picture-perfect moment for their celebration in paradise. After their romantic ceremony, strangers from around the world congratulated them on their special day. One of the funniest moments occurred when a stranger wished them to "have lots of babies," and the best part was - they captured it all on video! Their entire celebration felt like a dream come true, and they can't wait to go back!
The Memories
As the photographer captured moments of their wedding day, an outpouring of support and love came from dozens of strangers. Whether through applause, congratulations, or snapshots, they felt truly special walking down the crowded streets of Positano. "Not having our family there with us made us feel even more full and loved," recalls Brittany. To sum up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as a "dream come true" and can't wait to relive it all on their one-year anniversary.
Advice For Future Couples
Brittany and Shaun advise couples to fly first or business class because it's worth every penny! You will feel amazing on day one, no matter what the time zone difference and who doesn't want to be treated like royalty?
