The Love Story
Brittany & Ben first crossed paths at Penn State during their very first semester in 2017, and within a month, they were practically inseparable. After graduation, they made their way to Pittsburgh, PA, where their love story kept growing stronger. Fast forward to June 2023, on a dreamy wine tour in New York with friends, Ben got down on one knee! As we sipped wine by the lake, we couldn't help but start dreaming about their big day.
The Planning Experience
Brittany never thought a destination wedding was in the cards for them. "It always felt like something straight out of a movie or reserved for celebs—not for everyday people like us", recalls Brittany & Ben. However, one of their family members got married in Cabo and they were inspired to do the same! Quickly, they reached out and got connected to their Certified Destination Wedding Specialists, Jennifer Corrigan, and the wedding planning began! After narrowing it down, they decided on El Dorado Royale, a five-star, adults-only resort with amazing food, great energy, and affordability.
The Celebration
Even though they picked a more modest destination wedding package, it was anything but basic! From personalized dinner menus, custom seating arrangements, and adorable signs, their special day came together so beautifully. The highlight of the night was the golf carts that shuttled everyone between venues, which saved so much time for their guests! Besides the golf carts, Brittany and Ben will never forget when they first saw each other as Brittany walked down the aisle. As she passed by her loved ones and took in the breathtaking ocean backdrop, it truly felt like an experience unlike any other!
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding in paradise, they describe it as "professional, knowledgeable, and kind." One of their favorite moments during the celebration was spending quality time with their loved ones. Whether lounging by the pool or dining out together, having everyone there to support them made the experience even more special. They loved their big day so much that they'd love to return to El Dorado Royale for their one-year anniversary!
Advice For Future Couples
Brittany and Ben's biggest piece of advice to couples planning a destination wedding is to take the leap. Planning a wedding at a destination you've barely seen can feel daunting, but trust me—it's worth it. This was the best decision I've ever made, and I'd encourage anyone to do it in a heartbeat. The staff at these resorts are experts; they handle weddings like clockwork and truly know what they're doing. Trust them, and your day will turn out amazing.
