The Love Story
Andrea and Cesar's love story begins on OkCupid, where they matched with another and are so grateful they did! When they went on their first date, Cesar took Andrea around all the popular spots in New York to show her around the city, since she recently just moved form Minnesota. It was during this unforgettable date that Cesar couldn't help but notice Andrea's beauty and her easy-going nature, and he felt himself slowly falling in love. Fast forward a few years later, Cesar got down on one knee and popped the question surrounded by all of Andrea's family and friends in her hometown.
The Planning Experience
When it came to planning their special day in paradise, Andrea and Cesar decided it was either go big or go home! They wanted to have a wedding that was truly unforgettable and Majestic Colonial Hotel provided just that! With their incredible wedding package for the bride and groom to tying the knot in Cesar's home-country, it was truly an incredible wedding celebration for these two lovebirds!
The Celebration
To fully declare their love to one another, Andrea and Cesar hand wrote their own vows to each other. The best man also had the honor of performing and dedicating a heartfelt song, "Mi Devocion", which made everyone slow-dance on the dance floor. Before they officially said their I dos, Cesar recalls one of the most unusual moments was when Andrea and her bridal party were late to the start of the wedding. Hair and makeup was taking longer than expected and Cesar started to worry, but once he saw Andrea walk down the aisle, he knew it was worth the wait! One of their highlights durig their celebration in paradise was being able to spend quality time with their loved ones on a private boat and cruise excursion.. Drinks were flowing, the Caribbean waters were glistening, and everyone was having a great time getting to know each other!
The Memories
Andrera and Cesar loved every aspect of their wedding, but their main highlight was when they were officially declared Mr. and Mrs. Rodrigez for the first time. Bruno Mars was playing in the background, their hands were up in the air, and their loved ones were cheering, as they walked down the aisle. When they describe their wedding in the Dominican Republic, they state it was "unforgettable, lively, and magical." It was a truly dreamy celebration they will never forget.
Advice For Future Couples
Their advice to couples planning on having a destination wedding is to compromise and communicate, without-a-doubt! There will be times when each of you will have different ideas and thoughts that you might not agree with. However, please be aware that at the end of the day, you two are only having this disagreement because of how much you care and love for one another. You would not be arguing with each other if you did not feel that strongly for the other person. There can always be a middle-ground and it is only a matter of properly communicating with your partner.
