The Love Story
Meeting through mutual friends at a local bar, Amanda and Josh's paths crossed once again when Josh started working at the same restaurant as Amanda. Josh was determined to take Amanda on a date, and after some persistence, she finally said yes. Their love story has been blossoming ever since!
The Planning Experience
Iberostar Rose Hall Suites offered everything these lovebirds desired such as, a dedicated wedding coordinator, vibrant resort nightlife, 24-hour dining options, and an amazing swim-up bar! Amanda was so glad that Josh was on board to have a destination wedding in paradise!
The Celebration
Creating a personalized wedding that reflected both Josh and Amanda's unique personalities was very important to them. They brought a suitcase filled with goodies for their guests with check-in bags that included an itinerary, a formal invitation to the wedding, and more. Adding a touch of home to their favors, they included New Jersey-shaped cut-outs attached to saltwater taffy. One of the funniest moments of the celebration was caught on tape when one of the groomsmen accidentally released a sky lantern that nearly hit the maid of honor in the face. It's a moment they could watch over and over again. Leading up to their special day, they planned a series of events for their guests to attend each night. From bachelor/bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, and performances from fire dancers, it was a perfect way to get everyone excited for the actual wedding!
The Memories
The perfect finale to their special day was when the bridal party, along with several guests, including Amanda's mom, took a plunge into the pool to celebrate Amanda and Josh officially tying the knot! Everyone was concerned about Amanda's dress, but to her luck, it dried completely and still looked flawless. When reflecting on their destination wedding experience, they describe it as "fun, unforgettable, and unique." From the spontaneous pool plunge to the laughter-filled moments shared with their guests, they couldn't have envisioned a more perfect celebration.
Advice For Future Couples
Their advice to couples planning a destination wedding is to follow your vision! You have it in your mind for a reason… make it happen! I was so lucky to have my Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Christine, to help me put into action what I wanted. We really went the extra mile to make sure our guests had a time they'd never forget.
