The Love Story
Hinge and fate really brought these two lovebirds together! After meeting through the dating app and going on a couple of dates, life intervened and they decided to go their separate ways. Just as Amanda was set to move to a different province, Dustin reached out again asking her on a golfing date. Something clicked, and Amanda got this feeling that maybe her move wasn't in the cards. Sure enough, after their date, everything started falling into place. Just 5 days before she was set to move, she canceled the movers and decided to stay in Kelowna. New opportunities kept arising for her, and most importantly, her and Dustin's love kept growing and growing. Before she knew it, Dustin was down on one knee in their kitchen, asking Amanda to be his forever.

The Planning Experience
Thinking about all the different possibilities for their dream wedding was overwhelming to Amanda and Dustin, but after a night of googling and a recommendation from a friend, they took the leap and made an account at DestinationWeddings.com. After some research, they saw photos of Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa and fell in love. And once they read the glowing reviews from other couples, they knew they had made the right decision in choosing Riviera Maya to say their I dos.

The Celebration
Choosing the perfect wedding package was a breeze, and the 'Party Lovers' option was an absolute hit! With a DJ spinning tunes for four hours, their guests were on their feet, dancing the night away. With the catalog provided, they were able to choose everything from chairs to napkins, and even the colors of their decor, making the planning process much simpler for them. 'Everything exceeded our expectations; it truly was such a beautiful set up!' Amanda states. One of the most memorable moments was when Dustin's nine-year-old niece gave a hilarious and heartwarming speech. She really stole the show! Before the wedding festivities, they spent the days lounging on the beach with their loved ones, and they even enjoyed some great excursions together.

The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding experience, Amanda and Dustin say it was "just the best." They're already counting down the days to return for their one-year anniversary, excited to indulge in the delicious on-site restaurants and explore Tulum's ruins!

Advice For Future Couples
Amanda and Dustin's biggest piece of advice for couples planning a destination wedding is: if planning events for groups of people is not something that brings you joy, definitely consider a destination wedding. Between the amazing correspondence with our Destination Weddings travel advisor and the communications with the resort planner, everything was taken care of for each individual who wanted to join us. The entire process was so positive and really stress-free. Not only do you get the chance to have a beautiful setting for your ceremony, but your entire group gets to go on vacation! I could not recommend this enough. It really was a great experience.
