The Love Story
It all started with a swipe on Hinge in December 2021 for Aimee and Jack! After a month of nonstop texting and a bold first date at a gun range, they instantly clicked. Soon enough, they made it official at the Green Light Club on February 12, 2022, and later adopted their cat Hingito, named after the app that started it all. From marathon runs and karaoke nights to adventures across ten states, their lives have been full of laughs, love, and nonstop fun. On June 8, 2024, during an escape room date, Jack hid a special ring inside a secret safe and popped the question.
The Planning Experience
Since Aimee's parents live in Mexico, they knew that having a destination wedding at a gorgeous resort was the way to go! Puerto Vallarta was always at the top of their list because it was less touristy but still showcased the look and feel of Mexico's rich culture, plus they loved the Catholic churches in the area. They toured four different resorts, and even though Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta was their last stop, they knew immediately it was the perfect spot to say their "I dos." The great wedding packages and deals were an added bonus!
The Celebration
Their Beyond Memorable wedding package had everything they could ask for, but they added a few personal touches to make it uniquely theirs. From the dance floor, DJ service, and photo booth to the beautifully decorated arch and upgraded tables, their special day came together perfectly. The dance floor, however, stole the show, with the DJ setting the vibes just right to get everyone on their feet and dancing the night away.
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding in paradise, they describe it as "beautiful, fun, and a party." Beyond their dreamy wedding, they loved spending quality time with their closest loved ones. Whether hanging out at the swim-up pool in their master suite or dancing at the on-site nightclub, having their friends and family there made their wedding day all the more special.
Advice For Future Couples
Aimee & Jack's piece of advice for planning a destination wedding?
"Just be really open and honest with your wedding planner at the resort. They're a lot more helpful than you think. Even if their price is over your budget, they still find a way to work with you, even if you're bringing stuff from outside the resort, or they'll help you make a better deal! The wedding coordinators were great! The destination wedding was perfect because it included a rehearsal dinner meal, cocktail hour, and open bar!!"
