The Love Story
It all started with a little Hinge magic! Luis sent Latrease a rose to stand out from the crowd, and clearly, it did the trick. On their first date, they spent their time playing mini golf, chatting, and enjoying Five Guys together. It was the first date that never ended because they have been inseparable ever since. Their love grew each and every day through plenty of adventures, shared experiences, and becoming best friends and partners all in one. A few days after Christmas, Luis got down on one knee and asked Latrease to spend forever with him.
The Planning Experience
The idea of having a destination wedding was always something they thought about but never thought was possible. Once they started their wedding planning journey and saw the cost of getting married in the States versus abroad, they were surprised to find it was more affordable. Since Luis' family is from the Dominican Republic and their first international trip together was also there, they decided it would be the perfect place to say their I dos. Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana was breathtaking, and Latrease fell in love with the Sky Terrace due to the combination of the jaw-dropping beach views and the tropical skies.
The Celebration
They added a special touch to their day with a Love Lock ceremony, a meaningful symbol of their commitment to one another. But the celebration didn't stop there! After they walked down the aisle, they teamed up with La Barcaza to whisk their guests away for a private catamaran reception. It was the perfect way to keep the party going with dancing, ocean views, and celebrating their love on the water. Watching everything come together, from the beautifully decorated venue and waiting for each other at the aisle to seeing all their loved ones gathered to celebrate them, was the highlight of their celebration.
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding, they describe it as "easy, affordable, unforgettable." Besides their wedding ceremony, their favorite part was the catamaran reception. The newlyweds and their guests were able to let loose, dance the night away, snorkel, and take in the stunning views of Bávaro Beach. It was the best way to celebrate and made the experience even more memorable.
