The Love Story
When your childhood crush becomes your future spouse, you celebrate in a destination as beautiful as Mexico! Latia & DeVito met when they were just 14 years old and quickly became best friends. Before long, Latia had the biggest crush on him, and as it turns out, DeVito felt the same way! They shared their dreams, aspirations, and even their first kiss, but eventually lost touch when Latia moved away. Then fate stepped in. Twenty-five years later, they reconnected with more chemistry than ever. Now all these years later, they said their I dos at Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun.
The Planning Experience
The Caribbean is Latia's happy place. From the water and rich culture to the delicious food and music, everything makes her feel safe and away from the stressors of everyday life. That, paired with their love for traveling, made it easy to say yes to a destination wedding. Royalton Luxury Resorts holds a special place in their hearts because they had their very first date at Royalton Negril. While they didn't get to walk down the aisle in Jamaica due to a hurricane, their wedding at Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun was just as special.
The Celebration
With the help of their loved ones, Latia & DeVito brought personal touches from home, including signage, menu cards, table runners, and candles that helped bring their special day together. The moment they finally said I do was one they'll never forget. After all, how many people get to marry their childhood sweetheart in Mexico?
The Memories
To sum up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as "fun, professional, and memorable." In addition to the wedding day itself, Latia and DeVito kicked off their celebrations with a joint bachelor and bachelorette party. "It was the best decision ever. We danced the night away," the newlyweds shared.
Advice For Future Couples
Latia & DeVito's biggest piece of advice for having a destination wedding?
We say do it. You get the best of both worlds. Vacation a day surrounded by beauty, attentiveness and love. It is so worth it and of course you don't have to worry about cleaning up after.
