Things to Consider when Planning a Wedding in Iceland

Things to Consider when Planning a Wedding in Iceland

Tying the knot in Iceland offers jaw-dropping views and exciting opportunities to explore the country for your destination wedding experience, but it does come with some challenges:

  • Hotels in Iceland are EP (European Plan), which typically means the quoted rate only covers the cost of the room itself, so your meals and drinks will be an additional cost.
  • The flights to Iceland are longer and more expensive from most US and CA vacations.
  • Wedding packages in Iceland are not all-inclusive, so you'll have to hire each vendor individually (i.e. florist, wedding planner, caterer, photographer, etc.)
  • The overall cost of a destination wedding in Iceland will more than likely be much more expensive than a destination wedding in Mexico or the Caribbean.
