Top Independent Travel Agents have recently discovered...

How Choosing the Right Niche Can Dramatically Increase Your Commissions While Improving the Quality of Your Customers.

Dear Colleague,

The travel industry is more competitive and even sometimes unfortunately more "cut-throat" than it has ever been. Customers have learned to get "killer deals" directly through the Internet, Airlines have worked to eliminate the "middle-man", and countless formerly prosperous agencies have been forced to shut down in the midst of it all.

The past few years have made it crystal clear that the only way to thrive in the travel industry is to do as the cliche says and "Find Your Niche and Serve it Well." Sounds great in theory - but finding the perfect niche is often easier said than done.

Creating Dreams vs. Booking Travel

It is often annoying - and even sometimes offensive - that in the midst of all of the change in the travel industry, some customers think travel agents are merely here to help them "book their travel." As if booking a trip is some kind of easy exercise where you just type a few keys into a computer and - presto - the perfect vacation. Again, makes sense in theory, until the customer ends up staying in the wrong location, at a subpar hotel, with a view of the dumpster - all because they tried to book at a discount Internet site, or through the wrong agent.

As travel agents, we know well that the value we bring to our customers is not just our ability to "book their travel", but more importantly to make sure the flights, hotels, and excursions they pick ensure they have a truly memorable trip. Unfortunately, you can explain to a customer until you are blue in the face that they need your services to ensure their trip is a success - but if you are in the wrong niche, your customers may never hear you.

Why Destination Weddings have become the Most Promising Segment of the Travel Industry...

Imagine a niche where your customers viewed their travel as not just any vacation, but as the single most important vacation of their life. This is what happens when 299,000 couples each year (13% of the 2.3 million U.S. Weddings) plan their Destination Wedding - where they get married on a beach or some other exotic location and invite 20-80 of their closest friends and family to share their Special Day in Paradise. By working with the bride & groom to perfect the travel and lodging details of their destination wedding - and earning their trust in the process, the agent is ultimately able to book not just the bride & groom, but also a large number of guests for the wedding as well.

Unfortunately, prior to the launch of DestinationWeddings.com, there was no effective way for travel agents to manage the process of bookings for destination weddings. Most agents simply did not have the buying power to negotiate special deals and upgrades required to compel the wedding guests to book through them; and the process of following up with 30+ guests in a typical wedding without the appropriate tools was daunting at best.

"I am so happy with the DestinationWeddings.com affiliate program, I have now made it the one and only thing I do!"

I've been in the program since Summer 2004. It's so easy, because I can work from my home with my two children, and set up my schedule myself. I have had so much fun talking to everyone at DestinationWeddings.com - they've been really helpful getting me going.

Introducing a New Kind of Affiliate Program for Experienced Independent Travel Agents

In 2002, Horizons Unlimited Travel in Framingham, Massachusetts - an agency that recently celebrated 50 years in the business and has seen over $500 million in bookings - launched Destination Wedding Travel and DestinationWeddings.com to redefine the Destination Wedding experience for brides, grooms, and their guests. Since then, we have invested heavily in developing the company to its current leadership position in the industry:

Buying Power: We have worked closely with the major tour operators to develop highly competitive packages for our clients and their guests.

Leading Website: We have built one of the most popular websites for brides planning destination weddings (www.destinationweddings.com). The site currently receives over 60,000 visitors per month, and is ranked in the top .1% of all websites by Alexa (11,800 out of 16 million websites ranked).

Powerful System: The specialized, web based destination wedding management system we've developed over the past few years makes it easy for agents to manage brides, grooms, and up to 100+ guests for each wedding serviced.

Highly Qualified Leads, Always Delivered on an Exclusive Basis

We find it downright appalling that other programs farm lukewarm leads out to their affiliated agents in a non-exclusive manner. Not only do you have to waste enormous amounts of time sifting through the "tire-kickers" to get to the few leads that are actually serious about booking travel, but if you are lucky enough to find them you then need to compete with other agents who have been given those exact same leads. We do not believe in this lose / lose game of lead generation.

"My favorite part of the program is that it doesn't cost me any money for the leads..."

They offer excellent support, they pay you on time - and they treat you like you're a part of the family. In my opinion, this is a great place to be - and I don't want to work with anyone else but DestinationWeddings.com.

At DestinationWeddings.com, we only deliver a lead to an affiliated agent after the bride or groom has already put down a $50 deposit signifying a level of commitment. Furthermore, we assign each wedding to 1 agent - who is then able to earn commissions on travel packages booked for the bride, groom, and guests. With the average destination wedding representing 20-30 guests, a wedding can easily turn into $1,000 - $2,000 in commissions or more.

So what's the Catch?

We are experiencing a tremendous amount of growth in demand for our services; and as such we are looking to affiliate with highly qualified independent agents who will deliver "Marriages Made in Heaven" to our clients and earn lucrative commissions in the process. Because the quality of our brand and the experience of our clients is of utmost importance to us, we can only affiliate with a limited number of agents who we feel will deliver top-notch service to our clients.

There is no charge to join the DestinationWeddings.com affiliate program, but we are purposely limiting the number of new independent agents who enroll so that we can ensure the program is a mutual success. Once current spaces are filled up, we will add agents over the next few months as spaces become available - and of course we will grant priority to those agents who best express an interest in servicing our clients in a way they have become accustomed to being served.

We are looking for a few, highly qualified independent travel agents to work with us as DestinationWeddings.com affiliates to ensure our clients and their guests have a "Marriage Made in Heaven™"

If you are interested in being considered for the DestinationWeddings.com Affiliate program, please fill in the form below and tell us why you feel you would excel at delivering a top-notch experience to our brides, grooms, and their guests. We are specifically interested in working with those independent agents who not only have extensive experience planning destination travel, but who also fully understand that our clients are not just investing in travel, they are investing in their Dream Wedding in Paradise.
